Plan your visit to Freedom Bible Church

Christ gathers His people every Lord's Day through His Word, and we'd be honored to have you gather with us.

Whether you've followed Christ for many years or you're simply exploring the Christian faith, here's what you can expect on your first Sunday at Freedom.

Sunday gathering: 10:30 AM
Address: 777 Blanchard Road, Evans, GA 30809

When you arrive

Our property is straightforward: one parking area, one entrance. You won't need to guess which door to use. A greeter will welcome you at the door and can help if you have a question.

Coffee is available in the lobby. Arrive a couple of minutes early if you would like a cup before the gathering begins at 10:30.

You do not need to identify yourself as a guest, and no one will put you on the spot because you're new.

What to expect during the gathering

Our gathering usually lasts about an hour and a half. During that time, we read Scripture, pray, sing, hear God's Word preached, give, share fellowship, and regularly observe the ordinances Christ gave His church: baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Everything we do when we gather flows from Christ's care for His church and is shaped by His Word.

We practice expository preaching. That means the meaning and purpose of the biblical text govern the sermon. The pastor's task is to explain what God has said, show how the passage points us to Christ, and call us to respond with faith and obedience.

You do not need to be familiar with our songs or the order of the gathering before you come. You are free to listen and observe respectfully as the congregation worships together. If you would like a fuller explanation of these convictions, you can read why Freedom gathers this way. You may also listen to a recent sermon before visiting.

Visiting with children

Children are welcome in the Lord's Day gathering with their parents. We believe children learn to worship by participating alongside the rest of the church as they hear Scripture, sing, pray, and observe the ordinances over time.

A nursery and Preschool room are also available for younger children. Nursery serves children from birth through age 2, and Preschool serves children ages 3–5. Using either room is completely optional. Elementary-age children and older worship with the church in the Lord's Day gathering.

Parents check children in using the iPads outside the Nursery and Preschool rooms. Families may pre-register through Church Center to make check-in faster. The building is simple and well marked, with signs directing families to both rooms. Volunteers are available to help first-time families.

You can read about children and families at Freedom for a fuller explanation of family-integrated worship and current family information.

Questions guests often ask

Whatever you're comfortable in. People dress in a variety of ways, from casual to more formal. We want your attention focused on Christ rather than on what you're wearing.

No. Our greeters will welcome you at the door, but nobody will put you on the spot or ask you to stand up, introduce yourself, or say anything at all.

No. Christian giving is a grace-shaped practice of worship for Freedom's members, and guests are not expected to contribute. You may simply let the offering pass without embarrassment or explanation.

The Lord's Supper is Christ's covenant meal for His church. When we observe it, we invite believers in good standing with their local church to participate.

If you have an accessibility need or a question about the building, seating, or participating in the gathering, let us know before Sunday. We'll be glad to help you prepare for your visit.

Accessible parking is available near the building's one public entrance. Guests may sit anywhere, and restrooms are located in the lobby. If you have a question or specific need, email info@freedombiblechurch.net before Sunday.

You can come, listen, and ask honest questions. We are grateful that you are exploring faith in Christ and no one expects you to understand every Christian term or practice. If you are wondering what Christians mean by the gospel, you can read what the gospel is or ask to speak with a pastor.

After the gathering

We invite you to remain after the gathering and talk with people in the lobby. Our congregation tends to stick around and talk for a bit, but don't feel any pressure to do so. If you would like to meet a pastor or elder, ask one of the greeters who welcomed you at the door. They'll be glad to introduce you.

A first visit does not require an immediate commitment. If you later want to understand how life together develops beyond Sunday, you can see how discipleship works at Freedom or learn why membership matters.

Come gather with us

If you're thinking about joining us this Sunday, we'd be glad to have you. You don't have to plan ahead to visit; you're welcome to just show up. But if you'd like to let us know you're coming, it helps us prepare to serve you if you have questions or specific needs.

If you choose to use the form, you will continue to Church Center. It asks for your name and contact information and gives you space to share when you plan to visit, who may be coming with you, and any questions you would like us to know about.
